Jeff Scheinrock

Jeff Scheinrock is currently the President & CFO at Originate. A pioneer in Venture Resources, Originate invests elite engineering talent and startup expertise into high potential opportunities. Their expertise includes software development (mobile, web, embedded), strategic consulting (turn-around, product development, market research), and fund-raising.

Jeff is also a Continuing Lecturer at the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management and recently wrote a book with co-author, Matt Richter-Sand, titled “The Agile Start Up”, which includes over 200 quick and dirty lessons every entrepreneur should know.

Formerly CEO of Scheinrock Advisory Group, the company merged with Originate in April, 2010. Jeff was a member of GKM Newport Generation Funds, a fund of funds managing in excess of $950 million for investments into venture capital funds and private equity buyout funds from 2003-2007. Prior to founding Scheinrock Advisory Group in mid-1997, Jeff served as Vice Chairman, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Kistler Aerospace Corporation from 1996 through May 1997. While at Kistler, Jeff formulated the capital raising plan and all documents for a successful raise of $350 million in equity. From 1989 to 1996, Mr. Scheinrock served as Vice Chairman of Finance and Strategic Planning for Packard Bell NEC Electronics, Inc. While at Packard Bell, Jeff negotiated equity investments from Groupe Bull and NEC. Jeff also set up operations throughout Europe and Asia and negotiated tax incentives from the different countries. Jeff negotiated in excess of $1 billion in bank debt and $3 billion in trade credit from companies such as Intel, Microsoft, Panasonic, Tatung, Lite-On, Seagate etc. Jeff also handled the negotiation and structuring of all acquisitions including Zenith Data Systems and Ark Interface Software among others. Prior to joining Packard Bell NEC, Mr. Scheinrock was Senior Partner in charge of the Entrepreneurial Services Group of Arthur Young and Company’s Los Angeles office. He has extensive experience in international financial markets, corporate finance and capital structure, acquisitions and strategic investment, and is a CPA.

William Hsu

William has spent his career as both a startup entrepreneur as well as an executive of a Fortune 100 company.

Prior to MuckerLab, William was the SVP and Chief Product Officer of AT&T Interactive where he owned P/L, Product Management, Product Marketing, and UX responsibilities for all digital advertising initiatives for greater AT&T. In 3 years at AT&T Interactive, he doubled revenue to over $1B and helped established AT&T Interactive as the 9th largest digital media company (ahead of Facebook), the largest digital local advertising company (ahead of Groupon), and the 2nd largest mobile advertising company (behind Google) in the U.S.

Almost 13 years ago, as a 23-year old, he was the founder and EVP of Product Development for BuildPoint – the leader in providing bidding management & marketplace services to the commercial construction industry. William helped the company grow to over 250 employees and raised over $50M in venture capital. The company was acquired in 2004.

In between, William has led product teams at eBay, Green Dot (GDOT), and Spot Runner.

William has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Terman School of Engineering at Stanford University and a MBA from the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania.

Adam Corey

Adam was previously part of the founding team of SharesPost, where he helped create a marketplace for stock transactions of pre-IPO companies. Prior to SharesPost, Adam led business development and strategy for Evite.

Prior to that he lead as the Director of Product Management at multiple Los Angeles VC backed businesses, with a focus on product, revenue and growth.

Cody Simms

Cody Simms is a versatile digital media and Internet leader with strong background in product and platform.
From June 2012 to September 2013, Cody served as Chief Product Officer at StumbleUpon in San Francisco, where he presently serves as Advisor. Previously, he spent seven years at Yahoo! in the Los Angeles area where he most recently was Vice President of Global Product Management for Yahoo!’s entertainment and lifestyles product portfolio around the world, including Yahoo! Movies, Yahoo! Music, Yahoo! TV, omg!, Shine, and Yahoo! Games. Before that at Yahoo!, Cody led many of Yahoo!’s social and developer platform initiatives including the Yahoo! Developer Network.

From 2007-2010, Cody co-developed and taught the final project course at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg Program on Online Communities (APOC) within the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. Earlier in his career, he worked in product management capacities at The New York Times, Sprint, and NBC Internet. Cody holds an MA in Transnational Communications and Global Media from Goldsmiths College, University of London, and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Kansas with a BA in history and East Asian languages and a focus on Mandarin Chinese
